Students all enjoyed taking part in Māori Language week, we had a number of visitors as is evidenced by the images below. We also took some quick videos as a school either in classes or at home using te Reo.

Measuring an Orange...

In Kākāpō, we have almost finished a task we started at the end of last term - how to measure an orange. 
Pairs of students created a range of zany and outrageous questions about oranges and today we set about to work out the answers.

Maori Language Week II

Maori Language week has already been packed with activities exploring our Reo!

And today we had Jen and Jolie talk to us about Pre-European Maori, they shared a few items that were used in daily life in Whanganui-a-Tara two hundred years ago...

This morning we were lucky to have Whaea Gabrielle and Matua Max come and work with us, we learnt He Honore and another action activity that required too much coordination for Mr T... A clip of the class will be up later this week.
